Carlie Irsay-Gordon is the current owner of the Indianapolis Colts. The ownership of the franchise was transferred to her following the passing of her father Jim Irsay who had been the majority owner since 1997. She owns the franchise alongside her siblings Casey Foyt and Kalen Jackson.

Jim Irsay father Robert Irsay purchased the team for $12 million in 1972 from the team's original owner Carroll Rosenbloom.

Success in the NFL and Super Bowl win

After he was handed the control of the team in 1997, he recorded successes in many areas. During his tenure, the Indianapolis Colts won over 10 division titles and have made up to 18 times playoffs appearances. The team also won the Super Bowl XLI.

The Colts also recorded 115 wins in the regular season from 2000 to 2009.

Move to the Lucas Oil Stadium

The Colts moved to the Lucas Oil Stadium in 2008. The stadium is a multi-purpose ground having a seating capacity of 63,000 expandable to 70,000 at a construction cost of US$720 million.

Carroll Rosenbloom (1953–1972)

Carroll Rosenbloom was the original and first owner of the Indianapolis Colts. The NFL franchise was awarded to him in 1953 alongside a group of investors. He became the principal owner of the franchise . 

Carroll Rosenbloom made smart moves in his first season by singing valuable players through trades and successfully solidified the team. In other areas, he hired a new coach and went on to win some conference titles. In 1958, he led the team to win the NFL Championship.

Carroll Rosenbloon second season as an NFL owner, the Indianapolis Colts went on to win another NFL championship.

Robert Irsay (1972–1997)

Robert Irsay was the second owner of the Indianapolis Colts NFL franchise then as Baltimore Colts when he acquired the team by swapping the franchise with the previous owner Carroll Rosenbloom.

Robert Irsay relocated the team to Indianapolis and renamed to the Indianapolis Colts.

Jim Irsay (1997–2025)

Jim Irsay took charge of the Indianapolis Colts following the passing of his father Robert Irsay. He was successful throughout his tenure as owner, winning the Super Bowl XLI and other divisional titles. He also moved the team to the Lucas Oil stadium.

Carlie Irsay-Gordon (2025-present)

Carlie Irsay-Gordon assumed control of the team and became the principal owner of the Indianapolis Colts. She is the eldest daughter of Jim Irsay and currently owns the franchise alongside her sisters Casey Foyt and Kalen Jackson.
