10. Linus Ullmark (Ottawa Senators)

When it comes to the inclusion of Linus Ullmark on the best NHL goaltenders right now, the statistics clearly show everything we need to know. He recorded an impressive record of 25-14-3, a 2.72 goals-against average, a .910 save percentage and four shutouts in 44 games.


His performance was outstanding even as the Ottawa Senators reached the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Linus Ullmark joined the Ottawa Senators in July 2023 after previously playing for the Boston Bruins. 

One of his career highlights was winning the Vezina Trophy as the National Hockey League's top goalie and the William Jennings Trophy after recording the fewest goals in the 2022-23 season with the Boston Bruins. Statistics also showed an impressive record of 40-6-1 with a 1.89 GAA and a .938 save percentage in 49 games.


9. Darcy Kuemper (Los Angeles Kings)

One thing the NHL has not been shy of is the abundance of quality goaltenders. A reason the league remains the best in the world.

Kuemper's record for the 2024/25 NHL season was outstanding, as he pulled up 31-11-7 in 50 games. Other stats include GAA (2.02) and (.922), which ranks him third in the saves percentage of the league.


Darcy Kuemper was named in the final shortlist for the Vezina Trophy but finished fourth. He also finished second in the Pacific Division after statistics showed he only allowed the second-fewest goals throughout the 2024/25 NHL season with the Los Angeles Kings (206). 

Darcy was a Stanley Cup winner with the Colorado Avalanche in 2022, having previously played for the Arizona Coyotes and the Washington Capitals.


8. Filip Gustavsson (Minnesota Wild)

Filip Gustavsson of the Minnesota Wild is the next NHL goaltender on the list this season. He has been a standout performer for the franchise.

The Minnesota Wild goalie had 31 wins and five shutouts in 58 games (31 wins) at the end of the 2024/25 NHL season. Further statistics show that he recorded 31-19-6 with a 2.56 GAA and a .914 save percentage during the NHL regular season.


Filip Gustavsson is a Swedish goaltender. He previously played for the Ottawa Senators and Luleå HF of the Swedish Hockey League.


7. Jordan Binnington (St Louis Blues)

The 32-year-old, who won the Cup with the Blues in 2019, had a 13-game stretch from February through April in which he went 11-2-0 with a 2.00 GAA and a .919 save percentage. He has won numerous awards throughout his career, including the Hap Emms Memorial Trophy as best goaltender of the 2011 Memorial Cup and the 2013 Jim Rutherford Trophy as the OHL goaltender of the year. 


6. Ilya Sorokin (New York Islanders)

Ilya Sorokin of the New York Islanders is the next player on the list today, as he continued to produce some of the best results in the National Hockey League over the last couple of seasons.


Ilya Sorokin has continued to pull the numbers. Statistics show that he managed 30-24-6 in 61 games for the Islanders with a 2.71 GAA, a .907 save percentage and four shutouts. The Russian goaltender began his professional career in the KHL with Metallurg Novokuznetsk and later CSKA Moscow.


5. Jake Oettinger (Dallas Stars)

The next NHL goalie that has continued to pull the numbers in the previous season and currently is Jake Oettinger, who has been a standout player for the Dallas Stars.

Over the last four seasons, Jake Oettinger has averaged around 30 wins per season. During the 2024/25 campaign, he registered a 2.59 GAA and a .909 save percentage in 58 games.


Jake Oettinger's standout performance has helped the Dallas Stars advance from the regular season to the playoffs. This season, he has been tipped to maintain his fine form as the Stars look to maintain their competitive edge in the National Hockey League.


4. Sergei Bobrovsky (Florida Panthers)

Sergei Bobrovsky has always found a way to rank among the best NHL goalies around. The Florida Panthers goaltenders have the stats around him. He needs no introduction, as his five-star performance was enough to help the team win back-to-back Stanley Cup titles.


Sergei Bobrovsky's record shows that he has registered 32-15 with a 2.26 GAA, a .910 save percentage and five shutouts in 47 playoff games. The 429 career wins rank him among the NHL goalies with the most wins at 10th position in the all-time rankings.


Sergei has previously played for the Philadelphia Flyers and Columbus Blue Jackets. He is a two-time Vezina Trophy winner (2012–13 and 2016–17) while at the Blue Jackets. 


3. Igor Shesterkin (New York Rangers)

Igor Shesterkin is the next NHL goaltender on the list today as we continue our rankings. He has a record of 2.86 GAA and a .905 save percentage.


In the last three seasons, he has recorded 27-29-5 with six shutouts, winning at least 36 games. He won the Vezina Trophy in the 2021-22 season and was a Hart Trophy finalist for League MVP.


He began his ice hockey career in the KHL as a youth player with Krylya Sovetov Moscow and later moved to MHL side MHK Spartak. He also played for SKA Saint Petersburg before the move to the NHL.


2. Andrei Vasilevskiy (Tampa Bay Lightning)

Andrei Vasilevskiy has remained a top contender for the best NHL goalie award over the years. At 38-20-5, he was ranked second with the most wins in the league during the 2024/25 season. He also recorded fourth in GAA (2.18) and save percentage (.921) and tied for second in shutouts (six).


Andrei Vasilevskiy was in top form as the Tampa Bay Lightning earned their place in the NHL playoffs last season and was one of the finalists in the Vezina. He was selected by Salavat Yulaev Ufa in the KHL before the move to Tampa.

Connor Hellebuyck of the Winnipeg Jets remains top of the NHL rankings as the best goalie currently. He successfully won the Vezina for two consecutive seasons and his third overall, as well as claiming the Hart Trophy.
