Shipping industry (Capital Maritime & Trading Corp)

Evangelos Marinakis is the founder of The Capital Maritime Group, a global shipping company. IT operations include Europe and other parts of the world. The company is, however, controlled by the Marinakis family.


The Capital Maritime Group has over 70 ships in its collection, including tankers, dry bulk carriers and container ships. It also has a presence in the LNG with operations dating back to 2018 and currently with ten ships in its collection globally. 


Capital Product Partners L.P.

Capital Product Partners is an international shipping company with operations in the transportation of natural gas and the supply of goods with shipping containers and dry cargo. It includes a dozen LNG carriers.


Capital Product Partners merged with DSS Holdings to create one of the largest shipping companies in the world, known as Diamond S Shipping Inc.

Forbes reports that Evangelos Marinakis owns a 56% stake in Capital Product Partners, a publicly traded company.


Capital Offshore

Evangelos Marinakis launched Capital Offshore in December 2023. According to Wikipedia, the Greek businessman spent $106 million to acquire over seven platform supply vessels to boost his coverage. 


Alter Ego Media

Evangelos Marinakis is the majority owner of Alter Ego Media, which is one of the biggest media groups in Greece. It includes two brands known as Ta Nea and To Vima. He also owns MEGA Channel with an ownership stake around 22% or more.


Olympiacos Piraeus

Evangelos Marinakis is the majority owner of Olympiacos with around 86% share. Under his ownership, the club won the 2023–24 UEFA Europa Conference League, becoming the only Greek football club with the only European trophy.


Nottingham Forest FC 

Marinakis became the new owner in May 2017 and went on to invest in many areas, including infrastructure and players, which has been fruitful with the club's competitiveness in the Premier League as well as participation in European football competitions.


Rio Ave Futebol Clube

Evangelos Marinakis also owns Rio Ave, a professional football club in Portugal. He completed acquisition of the club in 2023.
