KONEKTIS: 2025 Women's Euro Adidas Ball's technology explained

KONEKTIS is the Game-Changing Adidas Ball for UEFA Women’s Euro 2025.

The UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 is here even as we await the debut of the KONEKTIS match ball by Adidas. It comes with cutting-edge technology and innovation.

What Is KONEKTIS?

KONEKTIS is the official match ball for the UEFA Women’s European Football Championship 2025 tournament that was designed by Adidas. It was officially unveiled during the draw for the tournament in December 2024.

The name “KONEKTIS” was derived from Esperanto, meaning “connected".

The KONEKTIS match ball’s design features Switzerland’s landscapes and architecture. It features jagged-edged block patterns in vibrant hues of red, blue, purple, orange, and green.

The colours of the ball are a reflection of the iconic Swiss Alps and landmarks from each host city, which are as follows:

Basel City Hall

Bern Clock Tower

Geneva Water Jet

Lucerne Chapel Bridge

St. Gallen Cathedral

Tourbillon Castle (Sion)

Thun Castle

And Münsterbrücke (Zurich).

Explainer: What is the technology behind the ball?

KONEKTIS will make history as the first-ever Women’s EURO ball to feature Adidas Connected Ball Technology. It was developed alongside Kinexon and comes with a 500 Hz motion sensor placed in the core of the ball and tracks every movement with real-time information sent to match officials in order to deliver accurate and precise support for Video Assistant Referees (VAR).

PRECISION SHELL: This is a 20-panel design with debossed grooves for optimal aerodynamics.

CTR-CORE: It is a high-tech internal structure of the ball that maintains the shape and air retention to boost flight and bounce.
